Washi, Washi, Washi

This week I took on the very popular Washi dress by Made by Rae. It is a great pattern and I would definitely recommend it for beginner sewers. I used some colourful cotton that I got from the Spotlight sale. Its a great fit though I think next time I will make it one size smaller. The darts are so easy to do (thanks Rae!) and give a gorgeous fit for the bust area. This pattern gets a 10/10 in my book. I will be getting the geranium dress pattern for my muchkin next.

  1. Love it Josie!! I’ve bought a bunch of fabric lately (Spotlight clearance haha!) to make some stuff for me – I think the Washi is a must. The weather has been so awful, I’ve got so many things to photograph but its so gloomy!
ps. I’m hosting a social sewing day in Brunswick on July 6 – if you are free you should come along 🙂 If you are keen let me know, I’ll give you all the details.

  2. Great dresses! Luckily, my local spotlight just did a revamp and the clearance tables are jam packed! I only every shop there when there is a sale.
